Health Benefits of Seaweed

Seaweed is one of the food that Thai people loves such as seasoned seaweed or seaweed for cooking. The reason why many people loves seaweed is because of the health benefits for the body. In addition, the seaweed is easy for digestion and it has low calories. Let’s see its useful.

Useful of seaweed

- Prevent Simple Goilter: Help thyroid gland system due to the high level of Iodine. Thyroid gland system  can produce Hormone which control calories burn system in the body.
- High Nutrients and Minerals such as Calcium, Protein, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Potassium and high fiber which can help digestion.

- High Iron : nourich hair for getting darker hair, reduce acnes and freckles, enchance the moisture in the skin.
- Decrease Chloresterol.
- Enchance the flexibility of vein, Stimulate the immune system.

Caution with Seaweed Consumption

Due to the high level of Iodine in the seaweed,  the patient who has high blood pressure and has kidney problem should avoid excessive seaweed consumption for a long time. If the seaweed is grown in the high toxic area, this toxic will get into our body from seaweed consumption due to the high absorbtion of seaweed. In addition, Seaweed has high Purine which may cause Gout.
